Foster Homes Needed!
Thank you for your interest in
fostering a rescued chained/penned dog for Dogs Deserve Better.
We really need your help!
The more foster homes we have, the more
dogs we can rescue.
All foster dogs need to be kept
inside and treated as a member of the family.
Dogs Deserve
Better will provide veterinary care for the dog, and you will
provide food, housetraining, and a loving home environment.
Please be
patient with our dogs. They have all come from situations where
they have never known to depend on humans for love and comfort.
While they crave this love and comfort, they may not know how to
go about getting it. They have spent their lives chained or
penned outside, away from their human families, and have to
learn how to behave the right way. All of our dogs are extremely
grateful to have been given a second chance at life, and we feel
they deserve to live a life filled with love and happiness.
While Dogs
Deserve Better will make every effort to help match you with a
safe and nondestructive dog, they are living creatures and thus
unpredictable, and we cannot be held responsible for any damage
to either person or property caused by the foster dog.
Responsibilities of the Foster Parent:
1. Provide a safe, loving
environment for the dog.
2. Socialize the dog properly.
3. Observe how the dog acts in
different situations and with different people and animals.
4. Notify DDB of any concerns
about health or behavior immediately.
The foster
parent will have the first chance at adopting the dog.
He/she will also have a say in who adopts the dog.
